Salute to Service Giveaway Winner Receives Beautiful New Entry Door
At Window Depot of Louisville, we love giving back to the community. Through our Salute to Service Giveaway, we looked for opportunities to recognize and honor those who quietly serve others every day. We are proud to celebrate Gary Boschain and his family as our Salute to Service winners who received a brand-new entry door for their home.
Gary serves as a chaplain at a level I trauma center, a role that is critical to supporting patients, families, and hospital staff around the clock. As his wife Renee shared with us, Gary brings his whole heart to his calling. While his work often happens behind the scenes, it plays an important part in helping people navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.

When Renee heard about the Salute to Service Giveaway, she decided to enter and never imagined they would win. “I just felt like what Gary does is such an important job,” she told us. “What he does makes such a difference in the lives of patients and their families.”
When they found out they had been selected, they were elated and incredibly grateful.
Their home had a very real need. The front door they had when they moved in was in rough condition, with noticeable gaps along the sides and bottom. “There were times we could feel the wind coming through,” they shared. “The snow would actually come under the door. It definitely wasn’t energy-efficient and was a struggle to deal with.”

Our team worked closely with Renee and Gary to design a new entry door that would improve energy efficiency while also elevating the look of their home. From design to installation, General Manager Brandon Merideth made sure the entire process was simple and stress-free.

The finished result brought immediate comfort and a lot of excitement. “Not only will the door save us from all of the snow this winter, but it’s awfully pretty,” they shared.

Renee and Gary also had wonderful things to say about their experience with Window Depot of Louisville. “Brandon was top notch through the whole design process,” they shared. “It was really fun to design and choose how we wanted the door to look, and he did an outstanding job of leading us through the process. The installers were amazing, and they even hauled away our old door.”
